Tim Wins Third Gallery Elite Award

At a gala reception in San Antonio, at the annual ImagingUSA International Convention, Kelly received a most prized trophy, The Kodak Gallery Elite. Tim has won this prestigious award three times, each with one of his handcrafted black and white portraits. This year a beautiful maternity portrait was selected to represent the "best of the best" for all of 2010's professional imagery.

Classic Images Are Always a Home Decor Success

An age that is fleeting must be preserved by a master artist. The integrity and value of a classic portrait will never be out of style in that special place of honor in your home. Don't settle for a new-breed picture-taker that have a website and call themselves "professional". Show you family and friends that you care enough.

Florida Professional Photographers Convention August 2010

Tim's work did very well again at our annual state competition. All of the entries merited and several "honored".  Tim had the highest portrait case score, won Best of Show- Portrait. and the Kodak Gallery Award. (for the fourth year straight) and some additional honors.

Here is the big winner; a black and white fibre print with hand deckled edges in an acid-free "float" presentation, that I'd introduced some 15 years ago. As more and more photographers learned the techniques from my videos, I fell away from style. I decided on using the presentation because it was the "right" thing to do with this image.

Here is the entire case. (The six entries of 2010) with some of the awards.

Another Beautiful Bridal Session

I love the "classic" look so much - and Whitney's dress was the bomb - just perfect for my studio study. There were too many fantastic images to post! My pro photog friends who are members of my educational site: www.theStudioBluePrint.com, will see the whole shoot in HD video.

MD Magazine Cover Shoot

I had the pleasure of doing a location shoot at the brand new downtown Orlando Orthopaedic Center. This was an alternate shot that I liked of the principle subjects. Hope they like!

A New Series Begins

I'm working on a series of "Rider" Portraits. I've always loved the classic look of casual and show outfitting, and thought I could do a studio series. Here is a preview from my first session with lovely Marissa. This is a new background created for me by David Maheu. The color image has been painted, and you can get a better look at: http://twitpic.com/125agc

My www.StudioBluePrint.com members will soon get the entire collection of poses and a video of the photo session.

Back to the Painted Portrait

After a full year of concentration on large format black & white portraiture, it's time to put my hand back to portrait painting. I chose to take some time away and work on bringing my "first love" back to the forefront for a season. I'll still be doing an increased amount of Illustrative B&W, but bringing back the paintings. We were selling so many there for awhile, that painting was starting to feel like a job! Well, the demand is present, and I'm really enjoying it again.

I made this one for Governor Mike Huckabee, and I can make a new portrait from older sessions too. If there is an image you'd like to consider creating a painting from - let me know. What a great heirloom addition to your home!
